What does this site collect?
Nothing that identifies you. The pages are pre-built HTML files, and the site never asks for your name, email or any image. Copying an install command happens in your browser. When you click Copy or Download, the page sends one anonymous count (which button, which page, and the country reported by our network provider) so we can see which instructions people use. No cookie, IP address or visitor id is stored.
Who hosts the site?
Vercel hosts the site and processes the standard request logs needed to serve pages and defend against abuse, such as IP address, browser and time. Vercel's handling is described in the Vercel privacy policy. No third-party analytics script and no advertising is loaded.
What does the Upscayl app send?
Upscayl processes your images on your own computer and writes the results to a local folder; it does not upload them. The app itself does send some data, which this site does not control. Help Improve Upscayl is on by default and sends anonymous usage data, such as GPU model and daily use, to the Upscayl team through PostHog, with automatic click capture and session recording turned off (source). Auto Update Upscayl, also on by default, checks GitHub for new releases. Both can be switched off in the app's Settings tab.
What about links to other sites?
Links to GitHub, upscayl.org, Microsoft, Homebrew and Flathub leave this site, and those services apply their own privacy policies. Check a log file for personal folder names before you paste it into a public GitHub issue.
